Shout Out: How do you feel about women in frontline combat?
Students give their opinions about women in the front line of combat
Zachary Ouelette: “I support feminism as long as it is bringing the sexes into balance, but not when it’s breaking the balance in favor of women.”
————–
Jordan Walrath: “I fully support it. The only legitimate argument against it is – Does it hurt the unit to have a mixture of gender?”
————–
David Killion: “I have no problem with women on the front lines or with women in open combat, but I think they should be separate from men and be given equal opportunities for missions.”
————-
Brandon Raymond: “It’s cool. It doesn’t bother me at all. Women can do anything men can do.”
————–
Sydney Dawn: “I say more power to ‘em, and if they choose to put themselves in that situation, then I think we should support them.”
—————
Cassandra Bell: “It took a long time to happen. I think women and men should be viewed equally.”
—————
Alexa Murray: “Women in combat are really brave. It’s empowering to know that a woman can wear 6-inch heels and a little black dress one night, and then trade those heels for boots and a gun. It’s awesome to know that women are so strong!”
————–
Andrew Crook: “The argument is imbecilic. Equality should have never been an issue.”
